Why don't you like Dan... Are you like some other pitching coach who to like knock out the competition our something?! I go to Dan and I love him. since I started going to him I've picked up so much more speed and accuracy! Also my body is never sore from pitching with bad mechanics anymore. He's the only coach in the east coast who knows what he's doing... He teaches like the west coach does which is correct...why do u think only pitchers from California and other states in the west coast get recruited? Because they know what they are Doing. U should go to Dan!!!! :D

This is a old thread real old thread, so I wouldn't hold your breath for answer. Not really sure there is a west coast/ east coast thing, we are not talking about football offenses here. If you live in the north east of the country, it gets kind of hard to play softball with snow. So it kind of blows your idea about why California is recruited more, they can play all year round there if they wanted to. Maybe soon they wont get recruited as much if places like Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, really start to further their softball agenda. I'm happy that you are doing well, but there are other good PC on the east side of the country. Bill Hillhouse is one of them to start with, I don't know this Dan, but glad to here more about him. Post some stuff on him.

Bill- Dave Stokes coaches High School softball at Penn Manor High School in Lancaster Pa. He used to do private stuff but I dont think he does anymore because his business became too busy.

Dan DeMarco

Hi,
I go to Dan. You really won't find any videos because Dan doesn't let the parents in because they are a distraction but he does have a viewing room kind of like the one on dance moms so the parents can see in but we can't see out. It is group lessons but I feel like I get a lot more out of my less time and more people at Dans then I did in more time and privates with my old coach jo. When you first start going to him, he spends a lot of time fixing your bad mechanics in your legs. He has spent a lot of time going to clinics and studying physics. He teaches you to get rid of your old habits that could have hurt you. He knows a lot about the way your body moves and teaches you comparing to things like walking jumping running. I believe he teaches rise drop screw curve change up and fastball. There might be othacceptsers but i'm not sure. But yeah he's great... The best in the north east. You should go to him except he only accepts new students at certain times.

Does he think there will be no distractions at the games??? This is beyond odd to me.

I always tried to teach student and parent at the same time.

I agree. The parents should understand what the girls are being taught because they are usually the ones that are working with the girls 3 more times throughout the week, when not in the lesson.

This is an old thread but I know him - he absolutely lets the parents in if you ask him. Awesome coach.

This post is a bit out-of-date but it is still showing up in Google so here goes...

I took my daughter to Tom Besser Elite Fastpitch Softball when in NJ and Dennis Ryan https://fastpitcher.com/ when we were in PA for weekly pitching lessons. Besser is great and takes an engineering approach on the arm whip and really is good with groups of girls and GREAT with parents. He is like a softball pitching factory, he teaches a lot of girls per week!

Ryan specializes in late-breaking spin and safe, proper mechanics, and he wouldn't teach her a new pitch until the sound mechanics/foundation were in place to build upon. We started when she was 8 years old. He's big on leverage and pitching tall with good posture, and he really explained everything well to me (the parent).

Ummm.....ok. So why not come on here for your first post advertising that instead of commenting on a coach you obviously don’t have any personal experience with?

I'm answering the question of the original post "need pitching coach: nj/pa/de". I didn't realize it was a thread about a single pitching coach. Thanks for the warm welcoming experience, being new to the forum and all, lol.
