Knuckles facing the catcher on her backswing will give the easiest path to getting the palm under the ball at 9:00.

Just an observation from a pitching Dad that has been to many lessons. Do you think the loss in FSR is because she is leaping so far and cannot catch up to prevent the hop? I noticed that she is losing her back leg and any possible glute thrust that might assist in better IR. My DD's pitching coach insists that the back knee is under the back shoulder at the time the front foot lands. He tries to get her to jump as far as possible while not losing the back leg.

As others have said, IR mechanics look pretty good -- hand under the ball, elbow contact at the hip, nice 45-degree angle at release:

The 'hello-elbow' is purely cosmetic, likely at the behest of some misguided coach. She's figured it out on her own, more advanced stuff like FSR needs to be taught. Maybe a simple cue like 'finish with your palm down' will make her look more traditionally IR, and have the added benefit of causing her HE coach some agita.

Agreed....
She's pitching with natural I/R.... she just has a forced (fist on chin) finish.... most likely to appease her coach

It almost sounds like we've seen the same coach. That's almost word for word what she told my DD the 1st time we seen her. Unfortunately, this is a coach we really like but she can't see us until October due to her schedule. I'm still coach shopping. We love my DD's coaches... but the basic fact of the matter is, they teach hello elbow. That being said, they haven't tried lately to change her release. I think her lack of accuracy is partly due to throwing one way but being taught another.
