some good building blocks there! Looks like she locks out her elbow at 12 o'clock and pushes the ball the rest of the way. As said previously...from 12 o'clock on...a little bend in the elbow and pulling the ball down will help

Hpw fast is she throwing ?

Haven’t clocked her much at all, she was play in a game last fall (playing up in 14u) and the Other team had a radar and they showed in the 39-41 rang. She doesn’t have a “fast”ball just throws a peel drop and change up.

You read my mind. I rarely comment on videos posted here but, that was the first question I had too... it looks like she's being FORCED into the fielding position instead of "falling" into it after the pitch. Sometimes, this can lead to hips closing too soon, throwing inside pitches (RHP to RHB). While your video looks like the hand is before the hip, it's something I'd keep an eye on.

Warmed up some yesterday so went out and got a little work in. Have been working on elbow bend and holding finish for a second then falling into position. A little over exaggerating of elbow bend and holding finish. I see a need to work on glove hand swimming also.

I know you said the elbow is exaggerated but I would say that it's not exaggerated but in the wrong spot. Exaggerated to me would be too much bend in the right spot. Go back to being straight at 3:00 (pointed at the catcher) and work on bending in the last part of the motion. Holding the finish looks better. The glove swim doesn't look like a problem to me. I could be wrong on that. I look at the shoulder rather than glove and if she can keep the shoulder in through release.

Working on whip from full motion is a tough task. Step closer, take down the intensity and throw 1/4 or half whips like this:

Thanks James!

Keep it fluid and relaxed. Don't throw the ball--whip the ball. Rock it from the pocket. Get whippy from the hippy. Let brush trigger release. Close the eyes or throw into a net if necessary. Don't waste time with bad reps. If you fail more than three times in a row, slow it down, step closer and get good reps in. No bad reps.

Thank you Ken, the last video was after mostly slowed down and come from 9 and 12 o’clock into a net. I wanted to see if any progress so I had her do a couple full speed into the net.
Thanks you and everyone else for the inputs.

This is so true. Same with hitting, fielding and pitching mechanics. Every dad/coach should read this quote before each work out and be consistent with it. Some girls think I am mean at first because I interrupt them (pattern interruption), stop them, do a restart/movement pattern or more drills, move them forward, slow them down ect...then progress forward again. Can't tell you how many times I have worked with a dd and dad/mom/coach, only to see them a month later and they are still dealing with the same issue because they didn't follow these simple rules.
