D has a decent curve ball but not great(travel ball yes, HS ball yes but not so much at college level)it is a pitch that gets called a lot in games. Knowing this, I am looking for some input to help it be a stronger pitch for D.

This is probably not the most popular answer you’ll get but I don’t go the palm up curve route, to me it’s slow and like a sweeping curve a lot of times. If they throw with IR, which I know she does, I’ve had success with a 2 seam fb with the thumb on the seam the farthest away (if that makes sense) on the outside corner with a super loose arm. When thrown correctly it breaks very well, very late.

The first thing is to check her axis of spin and see how good it is. Is she getting pure side spin or is the axis tilted toward bulletspin? If it's tilted then work on getting that corrected. She should know how her curveball spins.

Do you have a pic on how that will look. I have a good idea but want to make certain what I am thinking is correct.

What I noticed...if she stays open a little longer, her spins seemed to be tighter and the ball is faster. In her case, she don’t always do this. At times it seems she is throwing around her hip.

Has she tried a no-thumb grip? If her problem is spin axis and keeping the hand "cupped" with the fingertips towards the sky that grip may help. Pulling the index finger behind the ball and securing it with the thumb can help also.

My DD tends to do the same thing, we always work on finishing her legs more. This seems to keep her open longer and helps her throw the ball with faster better spin. Back leg tends to be a little later if her shoulders spin.

I think she is pulling with the index finger while securing with the thumb. Possibly try more cupping? You will see the finger point also with her rise but more like a V....drop also has the finger point thingy.
Interestingly, she used to use the mans grip but changed because was told it was wrong.

She used to throw a drop curve. She transitioned on her own to a palm up after throwing a lot of riseballs.
