As to the FSR, have her do the walk through. After she releases the ball, she should keep her right foot off the ground until the ball is returned to her by the catcher.

The video I posted shows the pitcher keeping her right foot off the ground until the ball hits the catchers mitt. Your DD should keep the right foot off the ground until the catcher throws it back to her. The first time your DD tries it, she'll fall forward. She'll learn to keep her upper body back.

I had forgotten that last variation (not letting her put the foot down). We worked on it a little before her layoff and forgot to start back at it. Thanks!

I agree with Armwhip. It’s very hard to create frontside resistance and a stacked posture when the arm has been trained to throw from a shoulder forward leaning forward position over thousands of pitches. You have to retrain the arm to whip maintaining a shoulder back position through drills giving constant feedback to keep the shoulder back. Better to throw into a tarp at first because they will instantly revert back to the old positions to throw strikes.

I would suggest work on her arm circle. Get this corrected and it will fix the hip rotation. The natural rotation of the shoulder will cause her hips to open. Right now, you don’t see this. Afterwards see where she is is with body posture.

I would start my investigation with hip flexors and driving in the dm thread.

Been going through the DM thread, and I see some new info each time, but could you elaborate on what you mean? I think I see how her hips don't push through but I'm curious what you were referring to.

She looks tight in the hips. I would video her reducing her foot turnout to 1/2 of what it is and video it and see if there is a difference in how her body/glutes/hams respond to her drive and whether she can get extension in her hips.
