Noted...
Ray,
I'm not selling this product. I'm simply providing a service to our subscribers by reviewing it. If I find that my test subjects are actually gaining speed and achieve a better sequence it'll be worth the price.... Or it may be a useless gadget. We'll have to see. I'll be giving a fair an honest assessment of a potentially very useful product.
I don't believe that any product should take the place of a quality PC. However if a product can aid that PC in getting his/her students to FEEL something over trying to explain it... I find that useful

Fair enough. I respect you Coach.

The last thread on the Queen of the Hill jumped the shark. There were a number of posts which literally contained promotional brochures--which we simply don't allow.

But, if you are doing an impartial review, it is OK with me.

Yeah. I saw that locked out knee too... Very poor demo indeed!
It'll make 2 audible clicks when used correctly. The first being the ground forces and the second is the forward move.
I've found it to be helpful especially on the second click. This tells me the "detachment" that we're looking for when the arms are at 3:00.... That's the unrealized bonus that the manufacturer didn't plan on!
I'll post a few clips of a couple students tonight

I wondered about this. That is a huge plus. Cannot believe they are seemingly unaware of it. Great work!

I'll post a few clips in the morning of one of my new girls. She's a 14u that literally just started pitching. I gave her her first lesson about 4-1/2 months ago. She was clocked at 43 mph without lessons... She hit 50 tonight off of the queen. Granted her previous high was 48 (that I actually clocked) I'm sure she'd hit that before... Funny thing is that her drive was so much better that it has created a new problem. FSR... Lol
She's falling forward now, because she's not used to all that additional forward momentum!!

This girl is brand new. Has only been taking lessons for 4-1/2 months. Its obviously a work in progress.
These clips are intended to show the differences in her drive

In this last clip, notice her falling forward? This is that extra forward momentum shes not used to...

Now the question will be is whether she can sustain the stronger drive without the mechanism. Looking forward to more updates!

Coach, thanks for doing a demo of this device. Given all of the other products, approaches and methods that have been discussed (whether they've been applauded or trashed) on DFP it was interesting to see the initial reaction to this "gadget"...

For comparison purposes I'm curious what cues you use with your pitching students wen NOT using the Queen...do you rely strictly on verbal cues (if so what was most effective) or do you combine the verbal with video analysis? Any other aids (clicker training, etc.) in working on a strong leg/knee drive while maintaining timing, separation, posture and everything else that goes into it? It would seem that if this aspect of the pitching mechanic has not been focused on effectively and suddenly they are introduced to something like this device the gains would be significant, if a PC has an effective way of teaching this already maybe not so much? If it allows continuous reinforcement of the drive while other areas are being worked on then it could be very valuable? As a non-professional, basic bucket dad it's hard to repeatedly notice every link in the chain!
Keep the info coming!

For the newbies, and just to point out the obvious, Coach James' kid had very good upper body mechanics...which is a testament to his ability as a coach.

Newbies tend to be transfixed on lower body mechanics. Before people start jumping in to fix the lower body mechanics, get the IR and the BI going...*THEN* work on lower body mechanics.

This device seems to be one that can make a good pitcher better. It is not going to make a weak pitcher into a good pitcher.
