Don't even get me started on golf. I used to be a 2 (handicap) in high school and when I hear the weekend warriors talk about hitting it 350, I have to really bite my tongue.

When I actually got decent and down to single digit handicap I stopped worrying about how far I hit my drive and just played the course. The weekend warriors just talk about driving distance, ask you how far you drive and boast of their 350 bombs. You just nod and agreed. Yeah, 225 straight and 125 to the right is 350. To quote Harvey Penick “the woods are full of long hitters”

Oddly enough Harvey Penick philosophy helped my youth sports coaching.

Nothing like hitting 300+ yard bombs and getting your rear kicked by a 70+ year old who can barely hit it 200 yards, but shoots his age...
