Slo-mo Video for your viewing pleasure.

My 9 year old daughter is wanting to pitch. Three months ago she knew nothing, but has had about 10 private (group) lessons and is improving quickly.

Does she IR? I think she does. I hope she does.

Open to advice. The pitching area I built for her is not level and her back foot hits a bump and flies up. I'll fix that. My fault, not hers. :)

At the 0.19-.20 sec mark you can clearly see her hand is inside the ball... So yes, she does have a fair amount of IR.
There needs to be a bit more focus on drive mechanics, posture, and resistance though.... IR will happen naturally if her posture, resistance, and adduction are all in check.
Hold on tight, this is a long and bumpy ride....but well worth it

to start, I'd say she's looking great for 9. Great stride especially. I'd work on her 'load'. Get her posture to stand taller, and not stick her butt out and bend over so much, I like a lean, but not a bend. Also have her arms and body go into the move away from the plate at the same time. Get her arm circle a little bigger, but not to much. She has a good relaxed looking arm circle. It's hard to tell on the slow motion, but try and get that going faster, and then like was said have her step down into the ground on that stride foot and get some push off to get more resistance. And make sure she isn't letting up or staying constant on her release and finish, she wants to come threw and release that ball harder at the finish than at the beginning or middle of she arm circle.

Like coach james said, posture should be a focus. Her arm IR’s but without lag she’s not getting any whip. Loosen up/relax the lower arm and get whippy from the hippy!

Welcome to the world of pitching. Be prepared for a long and bumpy ride...where one day you think she is making great progress then next she had regress. Overall, for her age, she looks good. At her age pick small areas that you want her to work on, don’t try to over whelm her but most of all, have fun! CHERISH this moment you spend with her because one day, it will come to an end but the memories you created will last a lifetime.
Good luck:)

Thanks all. Since baseball was one of my main sports, it is truly heart-warming to bond with her over the love of this game. I do push a little too hard and constantly remind myself to enjoy it and do everything in my power to have her enjoy it.

And yes, there's not enough whip. We both struggle to get more in there.
