Her drive mechanics are weak. She is not getting anything close to full potential out of her legs. Get that fixed and she'll add 5MPH.

There is an entire thread at the top of the forum on drive mechanics. It has some great information. Javasource literally "wrote the book" on drive mechanics.

I'm sure you'll get more specific advice.

Also, I'm not sure she is giving 100% on each pitch. It looks like she is concerned so much with control that she is slowing down her arm and body.

My DD is a 2021 so I am learning as I go but agree with Sluggers. Seems like there is more potential in her leg drive. DD uses a few drills to her help leg drive. One is a bucket drill where she will sit on a bucket then explodes off of it and throw a 100% pitch.
Another drill we do is with a resistance band attached to a thick belt. We attach to a fence and have DD walk out the slack then drive against the resistance as hard as possible for 4-5 sets of 12.

That's very old video 2 years ago. 1st video on that page is current.

Lots of video can be found on her website - Pitching - Maelynn Anne Leber

The first video is from Scenic City and Veterans tribute this year.

First thing that I saw in the 2nd video was the drive foot turning to push. I would still work on drive mechanics. I would say working on her drive will give her some added velocity. That was just what I saw right away. Looks like a good pitcher though! Definitely doing good things!

Notice that her right leg never straightens. She is getting nothing out of her legs. Your DD can add 5MPH to her pitching by fixing her driving mechanics.

Again, the drive mechanics thread written by Javasource is fantastic.

Thank you. One of her favorite habits she is working to break. Thank you for the feedback.
