My DD stayed the same for 2 years. She's gained 2-3 MPH since June.

Guess which 2 years those were.... 7th & 8th grade.

Not sure we're thinking the same here Gunner...
It's shown that stabilizing all 4 points of resistance will in fact increase speed through the kinetic chain. I feel a strong core will aid in this desired stabilization, thus producing a higher velocity.

It's not my thinking, it's documented research. There is no correlation between increased core strength and increased pitching velocity.

If your goal is to increase velocity you would be better off focusing on long toss, over/under training, lower body training, strengthening your rotator cuff, technique, and just getting stronger in general. Your core strength may improve as a by product but it's not something I would focus on.

Good post.

Please post a link to the 'documented research' you are referencing.

I'm not suggesting that core strength alone makes you throw harder! I am saying that core strength absolutely will produce a stronger resistance! Stronger resistance will in fact aid in the transfer of kinetic energy.
Your points made regarding technique, leg training, and long toss are all true.... However a major factor in the technique is resistance
