Awesome opportunity to pick the brain on some of the best pitching/coaches!

For the last 20ish years or so I've coached in IL and last few now in IN. I stepped up about 6 years ago and started running with the help of other coaches the Illinois Coaches Assoc.

My main focus was to help HS and Travel coaches become better coaches, and help them and me learn and continue to grow. Every year we have a coaches clinic in Jan. This year more than others, I am ecstatic about who's presenting.

John Tschida from University of St. Thomas is one of our main presenters, along with Ball State Assoc Head Coach Josh Johnson.

The clinic is Jan 25th 2019 in Marengo, IL. Cost is $80 (includes lunch) if you register early.

I'm really excited for this clinic. When I spoke to Josh Johnson on the phone, he said that John and him will both play off each other during some of the pitching mechanics and breakdowns. Both know each other real well, and I'm excited to pick both of their brains for bit on pitching and other areas. Hope to see some of you there!

Yup. Will be interesting to see if he has evolved into using launch angles and his approach. Hard to get an idea from the 2000s era video. As for the pitching video Josh is doing the mechanics and any of you follow his mechanics Monday on line will see he is in line with most of what’s taught here! Regardless, its going to be an exciting clinic!

Let us know if he now understands the proper profile of a riseball.

Wow, it's been almost 10 years since my last ICA clinic. That year they had all 4 2009 IHSA State Champion coaches present.

3 of us left deep Southern Illinois around 9:00 pm, after we finished coaching a basketball game, and took off for Marengo. Got pulled over about 30 minutes in...lol. Slept about 3 hours in our hotel, then headed over to Dwain's. 13ish hours in the car round trip, 7 hour clinic, and got deathly sick on the way home. It was a blast, though!
