I just saw online that Miranda Elish is off of the Ducks roster, and has made a decision to transfer. Does she go to Texas with Coach White? Or closer to home? Confirmed off the roster. Wow!

I saw that today, too. I would not be surprised to see her at Texas. I would also not be surprised to see a couple of other Oregon players do the same thing. White took one of his top ACs (Chelsea Spencer) with him, too. With 2/3 of the primary Oregon coaching staff now in Texas, I can see how that would be attractive for players (especially Ps) who were attracted to his program more than the school itself. Wherever Elish goes, she's going to make a big impact. She's a hell of a player.

It's got to be Texas. She'd have to sit out a year if she transfers to another Pac 12 school. If she's leaving for a better chance to win a world series title there's not many schools outside of the Pac 12 for her to go to. Oklahoma or Florida, maybe another SEC team. Still Oregon probably has just as good of a shot this year as a team in the SEC. It just makes sense that if she wants to transfer it's to stay with coach White.

As a Ducks fan, I want to believe that they will continue to be a power house, but with Lindvall, Sanders, and Lilly gone, that IF is very young and fresh. The pitching duo of Balint and Kleist are undeniable, however.

I think Oregon will be fine. They were always so tight when they got to Ok City. White had become the program. I could easily see the same thing happening at Texas. This might be heresy but I never thought much of those three players you cited. Their "leadership" will be missed but as go Balint and Kleist so go the Ducks.

Give me a program where I don't know the coaches name before I know the players.

Didn't think much of them? Really? Lilly is a perennial Team USA member with energy that is infectious. Sanders lead the NCAA in HRs her Jr. year (albeit at ULL), and did a good job filling the hole left by Udria's graduation the previous year. Lindvall was a very good defensive 2B, but her batting dropped off in her Sr. year (likely related to her elbow surgery the previous year). I didn't mention Svekis leaving because I think Iakopo will take over her role very capably - another powerful force behind the plate and with a bat, as has been the Ducks' standard. Don't get me wrong, I think the Ducks are a very good team, and they certainly have a track record of freshmen who are awesome players. Their new kids might prove to be fantastic. With the changes in core players and coaching, it seems like a team in the process of establishing a new identity.

Let's see how the team looks five years from now.

Before Mike arrived the team was floundering. Mike came on board with essentially the same players and made a significant difference the first year there. The message for many of us was that the coaching staff can make a significant difference.

Conroy from the bandits commented on another site that, players are used to or like a certain way coaches do things, and that both the players mentioned didn't like or fit with the style of the current coaches at Oregon. So with that being said, I'm leaning towards seeing them at Texas.
