Any advice on fixing hand rotation for beginner pitcher. Her hand is going over her head between 12 and 9 position, so when she comes down she is throwing inside or she has to pull the ball around her hips to pitch a strike.
Tell her that the catcher must be able to see the ball thoughout the entire arm circle. Also check her around 3:00 (front side of circle). Could be getting ball across her body here when moving forward
DD has struggled with this problem in the past and it still sometimes creeps in. She is almost hyper-flexible, and we think that’s the cause. Her arm sometimes crosses the midline of her body, so it can be pretty extreme and results in inside pitches or extreme outside when she has to come around her hip. (She does not bend, so that’s something.)
Her coach tells her to feel like she is pushing the ball toward 3rd base, and that seems to work (and doesn’t have to effect proper IR positioning of her hand). He also has her do wall circles to try to build some muscle memory.

I'd like to see video as well. I'm betting on the way up, she is turning her palm and elbow out to 3rd, if she a righty, which would put her hand in front of her face and over her head at 12. Maybe she has too much bend in the arm on the way up? The hand should pass more over the shoulder
