12 y/o dd. Misses high a lot of the time. Have worked on pitching to locations (especially low). Also noticed her drag and drive leg finish when recording this video. (was not stopping drive leg in previous recordings)
Just looking for suggestions on the control issue, best way to finish with drive leg (how to get her to finish correctly), and other mechanical problems/fixes that may help her.

1st post but have been searching this site for quite a while and really appreciate all the time spent helping others with your knowledge and great instruction.

Just a pitching dad. Our PC always talks about releasing the ball closer to your back hip if throwing high. DD plays for another PC and she always tell her when you throw high it's because your arm speed is slow to your ear. DD throws with out a swing back. Think they are both correct and telling her the same thing different.

For a comparison, since your DD pitches more open. At plant of stride foot, she should turn her drive leg, foot, inwards towards the catcher. With a upright posture, not butt out posture, that would give her a bit more hip to brush off of, which will help in her release and control. Watch the last gif for amount of brush interference Gabbie gets.
