In the original video link you can see I have her pushing away at heel drop then back swing trying to get more arm swing delay, but she is not nearly as aggressive and explosive as she needs to be. We have tried many different sequences. She really likes Hillhouse with hand in glove and stride shoulder starting forward but she could not keep drive foot forward it would turn out every time. I want to make sure I’m understanding 3 o’clock is that supposed to be full extension. I have been teaching be at 11 at stride foot plant. It seems if she is at 3 at extension the foot plant comes shortly after. Seems like that would throw timing late and crow hop. Please don’t think I am being difficult I am asking because I don’t know and trying to understand

I see a good athlete with a lot of good pitching qualities.
my short list of improvements would be a as follows...
1. Drive mechanics need an explosive push and an overlapping upper body
2. Heel striker... try to reach out with the big toe, not the heel (heel striking can lead to back problems)
3. Front side resistance... she locks out the knee in an hyper-extended fashion. Id rather see her almost pushing back with the quad muscle
4. The I/R or whip could have a lot more snap on it by simply getting the upper arm to stabilize against the ribs.
Overall she looks pretty good, and with a steady dose of consistent attention to detail she'll show some significant gains very quickly.

Here's Amanda with the clock as reference

Thanks for all the information we have some new things to work on. The push back drill getting her heel off the ground has immediately improved her explosiveness off the rubber. We are trying more over lapping so the overall appearance of her stride and drive are looking better. Now we have to overcome the feeling that everything is out of time. I’m telling her it’s going to feel strange because it’s changed. I’m worried I’m making to many changes but I also want to work on stopping heel strike because she has been complaining about her back. She has a tournament in 2 weeks our coach is going to be pissed if she is still out of wack. I’m trying to look at the big picture and theses changes are going to make her better in the long run. We may have to depend on the rest of our pitching staff until she gets comfortable and figures out these changes. Thanks again to all that helped.

Update working on recommendations. She has been working on the push back drill. Still not explosive enough or overlapping, but making progress in form. She is pointing her toe more trying to get away from heel strike. It seems to me her arm is to straight and I would like more palm up at 9 am I over analyzing this.
