Everyone, I apologize (again) if this is the wrong place to post this but since I only ever post on the pitching forum I am hoping that someone reading this can help.

Without going into major detail, although it's quite a story!!! I am hoping to move out of Pennsylvania in the early fall. Where am I moving to? Well, that's up in the air. I want to avoid winter. So, I'm thinking South, West, and/or Southwest. I am open to suggestions where I can have a steady stream of lessons to do year round and not have to rack up 200,000 frequent flier miles traveling on weekends to galaxies far far away.

I am open to suggestions. I am hoping to avoid the replies that simply say "come to Scottsdale" or "come to San Antonio". I would love to go to either place. But I need help with infrastructure. I am confident the students will come in when word gets out that I am there, but I am hoping someone owns a small indoor facility that I could make a deal with. While some of you may have connections at places, others might own your own place on your property. While it's an option and I won't dismiss it out of hand, facilities that are nationwide chains: D-Bats, Frozen Ropes, etc. are not usually willing to work out long term deals that benefit everyone. Yes, there are some places like that owned by people on this forum who may be more open to this idea than someone who who is not. But, I also know there are a lot of dad's, coaches, teams and organizations that own their own building who might be more inclined. Believe me, I'm open to anything and will discuss all options via PM's.. not back and forth on this board. For the sake of my mental health and physical health, I REALLY need to get out of winter in the Northeast.

So, if you're in the south, the west, the southwest or anywhere without subzero temps and snow, and are interested in sharing your facility please PM me. I really want to get plans made soon so I can start getting a roster of students for the fall.

Bill

I think Chicago is a good place to move.

Kind of boring pitching in 90 degrees all the time.

People wearing their winter jackets when it is 70 out will drive you nuts.

Northern California/Bay Area stays relatively mild, not to hot, not to cold. Want winter, drive 2 hours to Lake Tahoe.

I was thinking Sacramento, Stockton, possibly San Ramon/Concord/Martinez, or Tracy/Modesto. Not sure how much it costs to rent an apartment in the East Bay, San Mateo/Santa Clara county is way too expensive.

The Bay Area CA is indeed a great place to live and there would be no shortage of students with the concentration of travel ball teams in the area. Cost of living on the other hand might not be your cup of tea.

Where ever you wind up going Bill, best of luck with the move and getting set up in your new digs.

Dallas might work....although the cost of living has gone up quite a bit.

The airport is great...you can get a direct flight to almost anywhere in the US.

Hope you get some great connections! We know someone who is still in the process of getting financing to start a new facility in the Portland, OR area so he isn't ready yet but keep us posted on here how the search is going, and if they get up and running and you are still looking in the fall we will try to get you connected for a conversation. Maybe not exactly what you're thinking for weather though - mild compared to where you are probably but too much rain and not a lot of sun :|
