    From the 1st game with Washington. I only seen 2 different pitches from her in this game, bullet rise and fb with excellent command. Nibbler

    She only throws hard fast ball, curve and occasional rise.

    You mean she doesn't have 6 pitches?! Don't the really good 12U girls have 6 pitches mastered? (sarcasm)

    It's funny how 10 and 12 year olds can pitch 6 or 7 pitches and as they get older the number of pitches go down to 2 or 3. They don't do Hybrid pitches at FSU. Hanson explained to my daughter that Coach Alameda want the pitches to break up, down, east or west and the reason being that if a pitch is breaking in 2 planes it tend to stay in the zone longer and the hitter have more time to barrel the ball.
