Hitters in front of the box

I've always coached my batters to be up in the box. Back foot was even with center of the plate. For the same reason you describe.
This is why i was questioning. My dd first year of hs ball on varcity. She is not throwing the heat of some pichers. But is not slow, and has good movment. Alot of the movment seems to be taken away when a batter is this close. So was wondering if anyone did something diffrent to combat it. My main reson for asking is for pitch calling puposes.
