Anyone have any good slo-mo videos of pitchers throwing a Riseball?

All the old threads no longer have the video. Dd is working a rise to offset her drop and video would be really great for reference and education.

Please and thank you!!!!

I don't consider this spin a "riseball".
We call this one a "big dot", which has a bit better float that a "little dot" aka bullet spin.

I do think that Paige DOES throw a better spinning riseball most of the time - just not in this clip.

Yeah, the spin is off a bit. So far it's the best clip I've made of her with good clarity of the spin. Not too long ago no one could find a clip of a rise. One good thing about the playoffs and the WCWS, great cameras, angles, and slomotion.

Based on the follow through, motion, and the hitter being off balance, I have to believe this LSU pitcher is throwing some kind of spinner change up. It also looks like it's dropping sharply at the end right before the video cuts off. Spinner changes are tough because without the right release point it's likely to stay up in the zone. A change up that is up in the zone is usually a big mistake.

The Florida pitcher looks like she's doing a 2 seam rise, which I don't understand. 4 seams spinning tightly will make it move more (Yes I know there's going to be some people who disagree with that for whatever reason) but it also conceals the pitch sooooooo much better. 2 seam pitches (rise or drops) are very easy for a hitter to read from the plate.

If schools in the SEC were smart, like me, they would hire men's pitchers to throw BP so they can get used to a pitcher leaping towards them. I bet this girl gets through 1/2 the games on her motion alone. But if you can imitate that at practice, all of the sudden it's not so odd to see. FSU, Missouri and several other schools have mens fastpitch guys on staff, non pitchers but they can still throw. Oregon too, I heard their coach was a pretty good pitcher. wink wink.
