Should I buy her new balls?

Get her used to using different brands and conditions of balls. Easiest thing is to fill a bucket and place it next to her when she’s working out. Instead of wasting valuable practice time chasing errant pitches, just grab a new ball.

Occasionally throw crappy looking balls, dipped in water before the pitch, because game situations do not always dictate new balls with good leather and you do not want your DD freaking out because the ball she has in the circle is not perfect.
