A teammate of DD has emulated barnhills replant. So much so I believe it is taught by the instructor, particularly after conversing with her dad. Her velocity has gone up since fall (where it was not so pronounced). How much additional force or energy do pitchers who replant gain by this tactic? (assuming this is only variable that is changed) Does this replant add more to the pitch than adducting the drive foot to the centerline? And is this why it is an illegal move? Or is it about driving the delivery closer to the batter?

Looks like she is headed to Presbyterian in SC. Despite her success her mechanics are definitely a mess. Hopefully someone can get her somewhat straightened out at the next level.

looks like the motion some of these figure skaters might make before hitting a triple axel sowcow toe loop or something. Doesn't seem healthy in the long term but I can see where it'd be effective the first couple times through the line up. After that, she is throwing some decent stuff but as has been mentioned above, it could likely be a lot better without some of the leaks.

I say she's hits 61 in spite of all that other stuff going on because of her good arm circle and whipping action of her forearm.

By the way, notice the illegal hop.

Mentioned the illegal pitching in my first post...it's pretty obvious and bad maybe all the other movements kind mask whats going on and the umpires don't want to call her out on it because it will look like they are picking on her because she has a different motion.

and yes it did also look like a couple times her toe was completely off the side of the plate.

It's never a good sign when the pivot foot is pointed at the short stop as the ball reaches 12:00....
There was a girl that pitched a little for Auburn a few years ago. She had a funky wind up too... Almost like a baseball pitcher with her front leg hike... Jenna Abbott

But at least she looks somewhat "normal" after the hike

No doubt all that strange body motion would be extremely taxing on her physically. However, I again point to that arm action.... well from around 3:00 on. I'd take that arm action any day over many that I see in the pitchers I work with. Attach that arm to a pitch who has the drive mechanics down and WATCH OUT!

Agreed plenty of girls compensate for poor mechanics and do just fine both hitting and pitching...but it's just not something that I think any of us would advocate...again more power to her, congrats on signing and wish her all the best
