For the gurus out there, please take a look and see how she has progressed. I have not posted in quiet some time. She is cruising about 61-62 with good command, changeup and has started to develop a pretty decent rise ball. Im not sure what the pitch in this video was but her mechanics look pretty similar in all of her pitches. If anyone sees anything, please let me know! Thank you!

If anyone knows how to put the video in the thread instead of just the link to you tube, I would appreciate you letting me know!

Not here.

But, during indoor practice this is allowed.

Great drive off the rubber, looks good! At the magical 60+ is she hitting her spots? (not a GURU just a pitcher's dad)

Thanks, she does get a pretty good drive, too much at times i think.

She hits her spots the majority of the time. I'd say about 90% Some days more, some days less. Ive come to the conclusion that, at least with my DD, there will be inconsistencies depending on the day. I used to get frustrated with her, tell her she "has to hit her spots", "you can't miss your spots" but that only made things worse and it would go downhill from there. If I have learned anything in the past four years it is this......there will be good days and there will be bad. You could speculate as to why but that would be a waste of time IMO. Lizzy has gone from being taught HE at age 10 to IR by the generous folks on this board (they know who they are) and what you see in the video is the result (which after watching it a few more times I see that her front side timing is off a little, lol).

But, during indoor practice this is allowed.

Liz has pitched literally all over the country and has been called for an illegal pitch once. Happens to be it was some jack wagon umpire that likes to pick on little girls. Oddly enough, she pitched the exact some way the entire game and that was the only pitch he called illegal. Kinda makes you wonder what motive he had to call her illegal to begin with? I think maybe it was to intimidate her and when he found out he couldn't do that he shut up about it. Besides, with no hole to push from indoors and with the amount of leg drive Lizzy gets, it is almost impossible not to get a little hiccup in the motion.

IMHO those are excellent mechanics and if she's throwing all of her pitches with that same basic motion, not giving away any particular pitch and hitting her spots on average 90% of the time....you've gotta be a happy Dad!

I'm not seeing much to even nitpick at. For my two cents no need to mess with mechanics...I think what you should be focusing on at this point is control (hitting her spots with each pitch she has), movement (can she work grips and spins to get the movement she wants on each pitch) and change of speed (if she is in the low 60s I don't think you have to chase another couple mph but you need to be able to change speed without the hitter noticing).

Great job she looks really good.

I'm hesitant to even throw this out there since her mechanics look so good and she's hitting the 60's. But there maybe more in the tank??? Just a dad here, so take it with a grain of salt, but there looks to be a pause in her adduction of the drive leg and hip through release. Will it add anything to her speed, I'm not sure. Hopefully the experts will chime in and add some insight to whether it's a issue or not. See if you can see a difference in the release area.

So amazing to how far she's come on her journey! High fives to both you and Lizzy!

Here's a clip from '12 for reference:
