HS softball is what it is. DD is having a good time. She says all of the girls are getting along really well. No one is being a turd.
Made varsity as a freshman. She's fortunate because the program is really lacking pitching. 5 pitchers between varsity, JV & freshman teams.
Hitting in the 5 hole, has pitched more innings than the other pitcher at this point. Went from a CG, 3 hit shutout on Friday night to giving up 6 HR in 6 innings the next day. I think the pitch calling is suspect, but she threw the pitches that were hit for HR. Sigh.
She's getting to play with some friends that she hasn't been able to play travel with.
All in all, through a 3 weeks and 5 games, it's been alright.
