In my area, I am the only PC who doesn't teach hello elbow. So when my students look different than the other pitchers, its those pitchers parents who then ask my parents...."what do you call this kind of pitching?" "Is it Tincher style?"..... I get that a lot
The best way I describe it is this.... "I teach them how to transfer energy throughout her whole body rather than generating energy with just her shoulder" "This is why none of my students have sore shoulders, are faster, more accurate, tighter spins, and are their teams ace....LOL

I had a very similar experience with one of my incoming high school pitchers. Went through the H.E. warm-ups , but when I showed her the video of her pitching , she was IR with a forced H.E finish. She was so aggressive with the H.E. finish that last summer she strained her elbow and we now suspect the violent finish might be the cause of it.

Sooooo much forced HE finish around here. I've said a lot recently that the good news is that even with poor instrucdtion, the body "wants" to pitch properly and so poor instruction is often (but not always) overcome. The problem with so many coaches not understanding what actually happens at release is that (1) it takes much longers for pitchers to develop than it should, and (2) many never reach their potential because they are not working on the right things.

I'm working on a presentation called "you throw funny."

I just opened a 9,000 sq. foot facility (on top of having a full time job) so it might take me a few weeks but hopefully it will help clarify...CP
