My DD throws a knuckle change, and while we have been trying to develop another one I think her new pitching coach wants to make it her primary change.

My dd throws a knuckle change, it spins similar direction as her fastball. Less spin, but same look. Its not a pitch that "knuckles" but she grips it with her fingers bent under the ball. Has a little movement left to right.

I️ believe the knuckle change my dd is learning looks similar to her fastball just slower spin.

In a perfect world you want little to no spin, but a softball knuckle ball is never going to "dance" like a baseball knuckle will. I apologize that I do not have any videos of DD just throwing a knuckleball, but in the video below you see it @ 2:58.

For a change, my daughter tucks a knuckle and throws it like her peel drop. Is 8-10 mph slower than fastball and drops down and away to a RH batter. It's a good pitch for her, but as discussed here, we do have concerns about it getting "picked" as she gets older. We have been trying to learn a "flip change", but also, as discussed here, it has been difficult to master. She doesn't trust it and has been reluctant to throw it in a game. We might be tinkering with Mr. Pauly's suggestion this winter.

Don't tinker. Go all in. You will not regret it.

JAD, I'm not sure about this...
If deception is the key, wouldn't make more sense to have more spin? This only adds to the deception!
