For those that have them, what is the average battery life that you get when using the Continuous mode? I have had mine for about a week, used it twice, and gone through 2 sets of batteries. Is my device defective?

That certainly sounds excessive unless your "continuous mode" was 24 hours straight. I would recommend contacting customer service and voicing your concerns.

They do go through a ton of batteries. I bought the kit with the rechargeable batteries. They last 2-3 sessions before needing to be charged. With Alkaline batteries I get 4 sessions (25-30 pitches each). Make sure that once you place the radar in the pouch that it is off. Turn off continuous mode.

Agreed on the rechargeables. We mount them to the fence and run continuous for an entire game (usually start and stop between innings). We replace batteries after each game. Occasionally will not make a full game.

So by the sounds of it, ~2 hours is the time frame to be expected while running in CON mode. I guess I am just gonna have to buy stock in Energizer

Pardon me for the silly question but why would you run it for an entire game? A go pro is pretty obvious but radar for every single pitch seems like a waste alkaline. Gotta be something I’m missing?

My pocket radar has been reading low and inconsitent almost all the time lately, I have replaced batteries which seem to help a little. If I hold it just a little off line, like on outside corner and pitch is on inside corner, it will be off anywhere between 5-10 mph slow. Anyone else have this issue or is something wrong with this radar. Thanks

Just got my new Pocket Radar this weekend and used it for the first time tonight, I saw the same thing. I was behind an indoor cage, is it better to get right behind the catcher?

Seeing the same thing as both of you above. Going to have to see about returning mine. I had speeds vary greatly, including when I could easily see a faster pitch read 2 to 8 mph slower. Even when our pitching coach held it still outside the cage the readings were clearly slower than actual speed and still inconsistent

The quick way to check it, is to go for a drive. Set your cruise and then aim it at a passing sign or something similar. See if the reading is off.

Also, to be most accurate, have the radar as close to ball level as possible. These are things that helped with mine. When I first got mine, it seemed like it was slow but it was user error. May not be the case but just some simple things to check. Pocket Radar customer service is top notch in my experience.
