Ive read boardmember say that its a good thing to have a pitcher miss on the throwing hand side when learning IR. My dd is a 9 year old lefty and she is missing to the throwing hand side and down. Ill try to post a video soon. Any help/insight is much appreciated

What does the spin look like?

^^^^^ My first thought if her technique is good it might be natural ball movement from the way the ball is rotating nice peel drop.

but if it is really a straight and level pitch then probably a mechanically issue...as you mentioned can't really diagnose without a video.

I think I figured it out. Her thumb was on the side of the ball in her grip. Moved it under the ball more, basically in line with the middle finger and it seems to have worked. I think the ball was touching the thumb last and that was making it go down and towards throwing hand side
