Sarah Pauly is a rather accomplished pitcher, and she's seen wearing a compression sleeve on many of her demos here.

Maddie will wear full sleeves in combination with a short-sleeve under layer for cool mornings. As the day warms up, stripping off the sleeves is easy, and doesn't require a trip to the bathroom to remove the entire layer. Despite some arm issues in the past, I don't remember a full sleeve ever being recommended to her for medical reasons. She did wear a compression elbow brace/support a few times during her recovery, but it wasn't a full sleeve.

A couple of her teammates will wear one sleeve on occasion because they think it looks cool.

Im thinking about starting to wear compression sleeves. For me, it's more function over looks that I want to wear them (plus, I dont like the idea of wearing a long sleeve compression shirt in hot weather underneath my jersey. Did Maddie have problems with hers falling down when she was wearing them?

I don't think Sarah's elbow sleeve is what the OP was referring to? Maybe, but I was thinking of the longer (and usually a bit thinner material) version.

Sarah is wearing an elbow brace, (According to Rick, due to stress caused from the tens of thousands of curve's she's pitched over the years).

Yes. When she wears them, it's usually just for pre-game warm-up. They do tend to slip down on her throwing arm, so she takes them off before game time.

Thank you. This is what I wanted feedback on.

So a high frequency of windmill pitching can lead to elbow pain? And the elbow sleeve shown here can help alleviate elbow pain?

Is the elbow pain similar to what one would experience as golfer's elbow ... tendonitis?

DD's original issue was diagnosed as medial epicondylitis which is also known as golfer's elbow. This affects the inside of the elbow. At the time she had been throwing a lot of screwballs and riseballs. The doctor theorized that they may have contributed. Not my specialty, so....

Lateral epicondylitis is also known as tennis elbow and affects the outside of the elbow. Very similar injury (from my understanding) but in a different location.

The brace DD originally used had a little cushion on the inside of the brace. It is designed to wear on either side of the arm depending on the location of the pain. She was also given a series of stretches to perform which were very similar to nerve flossing. She battled through the condition for several months, but has not had a problem since.
