How much bend in arm during arm circle?

I can't seem to get this figured out. If you watch men pitch it seems many have a lot more bend in the arm circle. Should there be more bend to start? Kinda like whipping a towel. I get my DD to have a slight bend, elbow just unlocked a little. Just need to clarify it so I make sure I'm not screwing her up.

Allow for bend/lag by staying loose and unlocked. Pull the ball and lower arm around the circle (or mound.)

Lead with the elbow. Exaggerate the arm bend until you get it right.

oneeye... FOR THE MOST PART, men are not subjected to the poor teachings that so many girls are when they begin. So much of what they do is natural vs. fighting natural to do this HE crap. Keep in mind, there is a difference between straight and locked. And since 90% of girls do a one arm back swing, their arm gets locked. And it stays locked. This is a main reason young ladies get soreness in their shoulders way too prematurely. Using the elbow alleviates the need for shoulder exclusivity, making it more natural. It also helps with the kinetic chain of Elbow whipping, then wrist, then fingers... exactly the same way baseball pitchers use their's.

Thanks for the replies. Bill I have a few of your dvd's we got when she started pitching a couple years ago. She sat and went through them with me. She was sad when I mentioned you had some health problems. She doesn't do the the one arm back swing, she just brings her elbow back with hand in glove which she got from watching some of your youtube videos. She is loose and unlocked and leads with elbow, just wondering if her bend is not enough so she can get more whip.

Most of the gifs I have show pitchers that carry a certain amount of bend to and through contact. Although Sarah and Cat seem to get some straightening action with their contact.
