My DD goes to a Tincher coach. It's IR at the end of the day. Love our PC and it's very reasonable.

My kid is a tincher student also.
Just hit 2 years.. Speed up... past where we expected to this point. Control is very good. Most importantly bad back pain that she was experiencing before Tincher is gone... That was why we searched for a Tincher instructor.
I am a firm believer in getting kids a different look from a new coach every year or so. In our area there are 4 Tincher certified coaches within an hours drive. This gives my kid a different look as we try to visit a different coach every so often.
Not to mention Denny visits and camps.
Highly recommend Tincher!

I emailed Angie in Atlanta a couple of days ago, hoping to hear back. It's crazy how hard it is to get in touch with pitching coaches around here. They must have a ton of business.

It took 3 months to get our first lesson.. Once we did we wanted a consistent time. That took 5 months to nail down. It's like the busy restaurant. If the food and service a good, everyone will go!

I only emailed her this weekend but there have been a couple of others I've been trying to get in touch with for quite awhile with no luck.

I kinda remember reaching out to 2-3 before the one closest to me responded. It took a week or so.

We had our first lesson with Angie last night. Wow. We absolutely loved her! DD responded VERY well to her. She was nice but tough, and obviously expects a lot from her students. DD needs that to motivate her right now. She's been complacent over the past year (our fault for putting her back down in B but we had reasons). We got in the car and the first thing she said was, "Can we practice tomorrow?" She is always WILLING to practice but to leave a pretty intense hour long lesson only to want to practice more is great. I'm so excited and I feel like this is what she's going to need to get her to the next level.

I thought I'd post an update here, now that we've been seeing Angie for a few months. She's reworked a lot of DD's mechanics including completely changing the way she throws a curve ball. Her first tournament pitching live she lost a bit of her effectiveness with it, but last weekend she was lights out. Only gave up one earned run all day and it was awesome watching batters chase the curve. They'd realize a second too late it was moving and try to lunge for it. I think now it's more effective than it was before.

She's got so many awesome drills to work on very specific things. She managed to teach DD about front side resistance and how to get it with one drill. She has this amazing eye for the mechanics and spin, will see the spin be just a bit off and know exactly how to correct it. And it's something I wouldn't have thought of in a million years. The lessons fly by, they're so interesting and fun. DD compared it to spending a day at 6 Flags last night. She feels really challenged, and leaves lessons excited and talking about what she needs to work on for next time, even after several months of lessons. We're also doing buddy lessons a lot, and she usually is in with an older, high level pitcher. The first buddy lesson we had was with an 18U pitcher on one of the big 3 gold teams. This girl was not big at all but holy moly did she know how to use her hips. It's another thing we've tried to convey to DD for so long, but I feel like that was the first time it really sank in how much power comes from the hips, being able to watch this girl who was shorter than my 11 year old whiz the ball in there like that.

So anyway, we are still very happy with how things are going. I need to cut out some new video to post for critique. The last time was quite awhile ago. But we're really only just starting to get outside so I haven't had a chance yet.

Love what I've read/seen on this thread in regards to Tincher pitching. DD is 12 and has been pitching for about 2 years now. We have our first lesson coming up this weekend and I'm excited to see what is involved and what adjustments will need to be made and how this next step of the journey will go. We have about a 45 minute commute which is nothing compared to others on here. Just wanted to share that we're about to dive into this process. I'll be sure to check in and share our experiences once we have more time with it.
