Proud to say I know this young lady who is part of my daughter's club organization. She is an incredibly humble kid and a hard worker with an equally incredible backstory. She has a phenomenal future ahead of her. Congrats to Mia!

Awesome accomplishment for this young lady!
I can't help but to wonder about their opponents... No body wants to make national headlines on the wrong end of a butt kicking. I know coaches who would have made their teams do suicides till they puked for a loss like that...

This particular pitcher struck out 17 against one of the best teams in New Jersey earlier in the season. North Warren, the losing team in this case, is not a bad team, but they aren't top-ranked.

So, while 21/21 K is an amazing accomplishment, for a team to lose to this pitcher is not something about which to be ashamed.

DD had a perfect game in HS also, struck out all 15 batters, run ruled them, the only ball they hit was a foul back into the screen. I have to admit the team was not a good team.

Great accomplishment. Are you at liberty to share her back story. I know I would be interested in hearing it. My DD has played high school ball the last two year with 3 titanium rods, and 18 screws in her spine, and I have heard several times from other parents "oh yeah, I forgot she had that done" She never talks about it, and never complains, even when I can tell it is bothering her. I love interesting back stories.
