Hello everyone
I want to make a pitching lane in my back yard for my daughter does anyone have any pics of any that you guys have just trying to get some ideas. Thanks

Mine looks a lot like carlito's. I dug down about 4-5 inches and cleared out a 4' by 8'. I used pressure treated 2x4s on the sides and dug deep enough to make them flush. I mounted a 24" rubber one foot in front of the rear of the lane. I will probably add a foot or two out front. I am also trying to build a functional backstop.

Once I dug down, I found a guy on Craigslist who had free red clay about 15 miles away. I got one load (OK, overload) for free and he even loaded it on for me. Once I got it home I mixed it with some sand and just sort of winged it. I wound up using about 300# of play sand a couple bags of some larger sand that I had laying around and raked it all together as I added it.

It's pretty good, I left it uncovered last winter and I haven't really done anything to it other than rake it and flatten it. She loves it.
