Agreed, she was really getting pinched. When they first pulled her it seemed like a really quick hook but it certainly worked out well.

she's gotta be the most animated/fun to watch p5 pitcher going.
so much spunk and energy. I just really love watching games when she is in the circle.
(only Carly Hoover comes close...)
The way she "works" her infield between pitches is hilarious! and endearing...
And her Major League-esque "Wild Thing" glasses are just too much.

and yes, she really got hosed on the strike zone in that game.
But it was in TN, so we can't blame The Walton School of Umpiring, can we? ;-)

agree on the animation! I really like her alot but have to admit she starts to get to me a bit with all the pointing and head nodding in-between pitches and I do mean in-between EVERY pitch.
With that said, I would take her on my team all day long and if she was on my team the above I just stated probably wouldn't bother me a bit :0

Yes, a little 2 faced for sure, but I am glad it was brought up as I have been thinking about it all year long as I have watched her pitch.

matty moss just got called for an IP against LSU. wow. the ump was quick to call the IP but the commentators did not dissect what the IP was all about.
on a different game, Auburn's Carlson was striding way off the pitching lane and NOT 1 IP called.

is there some sort of favoritism going on?

Really, really like her field presence & personality. Fun student & teammate, I'm certain.

She's performing wonderfully already, with all kinds of room for advancement to a next level. Would be an absolute joy to coach.

I'd offer one piece of advice to Coach Weekly. Try not to helicopter the kid while she's in the circle. Encourage & trust her with building her own rapport with game umpires. Why wouldn't you want her to? ;)
