As a pretty regular student of Bill's my DD has gone more than 6 months without a lesson. All my emails asking about lessons have been met with replies about not being too well (never going into specifics). Today I got a mass email from someone, whom I believe is his wife, with a Go Fund me account. I guess Bill has been having some bad heart issues, and they are now worried about and doing CT scans on his head for neurology or possibly something worse. Here is the Go Fund me: gofundme/billhillhouse Then it's dot com at the end. I hope everyone on this forum will contribute as he has helped all of us at some point.

So sorry to hear this about BH. I own all of his pitching DVDs and have always appreciated his wisdom, simple approach to the pitching position, and stories about playing this game at the highest levels. I wish him the best and hope he gets better real soon.

this is the email I got today:

I'm not sure how to begin this, my name is Jamie Hillhouse.

As some of you may know (this email is going to all his pitching students and all his groups for weekend lessons) Bill has been battling some illnesses. Without going into specifics there are serious abnormalities with his heart and now they're doing some CT scans of his head believing there could be issues in the brain. Some of you may have noticed that his schedule has been light (almost non-existent) this past year, this is why. Doing no lessons during the week and only 1 weekend trip per month, sometimes not even that much. I reached my peak a few nights ago when Bill collapsed while visiting his brother. 911 was called and the paramedics dealt with not only trying to figure out why he collapsed but the potential problem from his fall smashing his head on the hard tile floor. So on top of it all was a concussion.

I'm sure I don't have to tell anyone how badly medical expenses can cripple someone. Bill has missed his last 2 scheduled visits with his son because of this, on top of all the lessons he's been unable to do.

I set up a Go fund me page for Bill today in hopes of raising some money for him to get the testing that his doctors want to do but cannot because of being uninsured. The fund me page lists only a $5000 goal but, believe me he's looking at larger than that expenses for the testing and doctor visits.

I've yet to meet any of his students or their families who don't love Bill. I hope enough people will contribute SOMETHING to get him well and back to life, so to speak.

www.gofundme.com/billhillhouse is the account at Go fund me. Or use the paypal account I've set up for him bill at houseofpitching (dot com) Please note this is a different account than the one people use for lessons!!

Thank you for your time,
Jamie Hillhouse

PS. the Dallas weekend is still ON schedule for end of the month as of now.

Thank you everyone for the support and prayers. It's scary to have uncertainties but I'll keep going until I can't. If I get orders from the doc to stay home, rest, etc. I plan to spend more time on here answering questions and interjecting my opinions on things.

Thanks again everyone
Bill

Are you sure that is in the best interest of your health/blood pressure/ ...? LOL

Best wishes for you and that you have just taken a small step backwards.
