Took DD to a hitting lesson tonight. Unlike the dead of winter when no one could be found in the softball academy tonight there were 3-4 teams working out. One team was a group of 10 year old girls. They were having each girl throw a few pitches to see if anyone stood out.
One young girl threw a few decent pitches and her mother, sitting next to me, said to another parent "maybe we should set her up for pitching lessons".
I came very close to telling mom "Don't you dare! you have no idea what you are getting into"

Like they do not know. :)

Can be some long games in school ball.

DD is Ok P, one team is still hitting off her a year later.

(We had a team that beat us, you would have thought they won the world series. Some of our players and parents were upset how the other Team acted. Probably only gMe they won all year. We have been there. DD did not have any hard feelings, just wanted to play again)

Probably not a good idea for a parent to think his/her DD can be a great pitcher with just a few lessons and a "little" practice.

Lessons and practice? What are you referring to?

MS coach said they would be available before school for anyone who wanted to try P, 0 players showed up.
