Savana pitched at BC and finished at Texas A&M. I am sure many have seen this before but anxious to get your thoughts on her drive mechanics. Particularly, the line(s) in the sand (drag foot drag marks).

From the lines it appears to me that there is no leaping so completely legal and looks good. But then instead of the "C" drag mark a new one is made. Would you all say this is just a pivot spot and all is good? Similar to Cat's?

Also, disregard the stride knee high finish at the end....it is just a drill she is doing to help bring the knee in and not looking for feedback on that.

Boy, that drive foot just stops dead after the leap. Plus I think her drive is late. No real overlap with the swing back. Kind of an all back all forward drive with a leap and replant.

Buttermaker I completely agree with the sudden stop. She actually has a drag mark pretty close from the rubber right up to the point she stops (as you mention) but it is not as visible on the post I made compared to watching it on a full YouTube page and in slowmo. With that said, I want to hear other thoughts before I comment further but do very much appreciate you remarks on this.

After I gave Butter's points some more thought I went to find a similar "stop" from other pitchers. Check out the stride foot stop on Lowary.... It stops and changes direction just like Savana above. Can't wait to hear thoughts on this from our experts.

Certainly not an expert though have been in lessons for about 6.5 years. IMO Savana Lloyd is 'skippy' and replanting.

Bring the knee in? What?

Sorry...but that drill is a terrible idea.
