ldgreen,

Young, decent start with the legs as Doug pointed out. Athletic.

Continue to work on her transfer. Push to plant, then get off that backside (light drag). She's dug herself a pretty decent hole. That's wasted forward energy & can also rudder the back hip out of rotational sync.

If I were you & she lives softball, I'd suggest a complete re-tool of the upper body mechanics. She's at the right age, right now. A plus down the road.

Read the forum, there's plenty of information relative to "hello elbow."

If she doesn't have a pitching coach, get her one. If she already has a pitching coach teaching her those mechanics, find her a new one.

She got a great start for being 9. She opens up a bit early... This is what you're seeing in the front foot. She's got some natural I/R, and that's awesome. I'd suggest reading up on brush interference, and I/R in the classroom. Let her arm relax and finish out front, don't worry about pointing the elbow.... The ball is gone....
