In the spirit of Johnny Appleseed, I'm spreading IR as best I can in my area. DD is in LL and her coach wants to start using it. I sent a Modified pitcher from my last HS team to Java. I'm working with a 12U from our HS, getting her used to it. And I will be introducing it to the new HS I'm going to. It's a start, eh. :)

You're lucky if you're not facing resistance. I think resistance in this regard is more common than receptiveness. And, it often has to do with silly pissing matches.

Doug, I'm happy to say that players and coaches are receptive to the idea. The biggest pushback comes from trying to teach a player a new or different way of doing something. Because they usually don't succeed at first, they want to fall back on what they've always done, even though it doesn't work. This is particularly stressful for pitchers because they're the focus. It's why I like the 10U, 12U, Modified level with the emphasis on learning the game.

No luck in my area. Some parents are receptive, but not willing to put in the work. Takes alot of work, at least for me, but would not have traded the experience for anything. Teaching my youngest dd to pitch with good mechanics. With alot of help from here. So much good help here.
The pitching coaches I've talked with, are set in their ways. No changing that. Even one who pitches with good IR, but doesn't know it, let alone teach it. Oh well, it will eventually catch on.
