Findlay, you can't go wrong with either of these three, All-Star, Vinci, or Rawlings Liberty Advanced. Just buy the one you can get the best deal on. All three are excellent mitts!

I occasionally (and very reluctantly) will catch for pitchers warming up during a game. I don't have a catchers glove of my own but borrow from another coach. These are 17 and 18 year olds that throw f'ing hard. I'd wear hockey goalie pads if I could, but settle for lots of silent prayer and sighs of relief when they say "gonna throw some change-ups now".

^^^Very funny, but not really...right? When I catch my DD at lessons, I really have to change my focus when her PC says "okay, lets throw some drop balls now"! I really make sure my lips are firmly over my teeth!

Good to know. My current glove that I have had for several years does not have enough padding for DD who throws mid-50's now but will look at the Liberty Advanced. For $149, looks like a good buy versus the cost of a broken finger :)

I bought what was supposed to be a really big Mizuno, a 34.5" GXS31TG. I literally had no chance to get my hand in it. I have man sized hands, but not giant paws.

Sold it at a little bit of a loss and bought a Worth Liberty Advanced. It's dynamite. Our TB org president borrowed it one practice to catch his DD and couldn't stop raving about it. If your hand fits in it, you cannot go wrong with it.
