Alright DFP I need to get my DD throwing a drop ball. DD has a long stride length. Very accurate with FB and has a great CU. We were with a PC for a year but I think it's time to go back to myself as her PC. He was shortening her stride length on different pitches and she was never comfortable throwing that way. It caused mechanical issues with her.

So the big question is peel drop or roll over drop? A good instructional video for the pitch would also help.

She's 2nd year 12U. Throws 46-50. 36 mph CU.

Does your DD throw with IR? If so, I don't see any difference in a FB thrown with IR and a rollover drop. The biggest factor with the drop is to hinge up at the waist and raise the release point to get more deceptive downward angle. Hinge up meaning spine angle more vertical vs rearward lean.

Rick Pauly has some instructional segments for sale on his website that are great. Had DD work for 10 minutes and had a nice drop, highly recommend.

I agree...I like Coach Pauly's info on the drop ball and basically anything he puts out. This is DDs go to pitch. We recently started utilizing his drop ball drill with a "cannonball". No big difference needed in the body or stride...I like the way SoGASoftball describes what the body is doing. What I see a lot of girls do or people teach is shortening the stride to help create the angle to move the ball downward. What they usually get out of this is just a low fastball with little to no break.
