Am I really the only one to call BS. Or did everyone else not even bother to open up this thread at all??????? I guess I should have done the same.

I'm with her  The average college pitchers throws 58-62 (not NCAA DI WCWS finalists...the average all levels).

First off OP said 9 years old. If you had said a 10U pitcher...which mean she could be 10 yr and 9 months old *(corrected from previous post) and that she threw upper 50s that is one thing.

Now if you are saying a 9 yr old is throwing 60, I'm going to say show me. A softball tournament is a public place and there is not any expectation of privacy, nobody on the board is going to call this girl names or bully or harass her so I'm not sure exactly what the issue would be? If anything we would all actually be pretty impressed and I'd be happy to eat crow.

I really don't expect you to believe me, doesn't really matter to me if you do or don't. I wouldn't of believed it either. I pmd you.

10 years and 9 months old (2005 b-day), yes. 11 years and 9 months old (2004 b-day), no. 2004 b-days are second-year 12U players.

eric is correct 05/06=10U, with 05's having to move up 1 Jan 2017. She pitched 8U last summer (2015) against us.... from 30 ft....lol

On what basis are you calling BS?

Well Dr. Sherry Werner, PHD. Dr. Werner currently a biomechanics consultant with Sport Science Unlimited compared a 60 mph fast pitch softball to a 90mph baseball....so if I said I know a 9 yr old boy throwing 90 mph what would you say? I'll give you a few years for gender differences and let say I told you I knw a 12 yr old boy that throws 90mph what would you say?
