One of the things I look for is the "look" of leap vs drive. This looks more leap to me pulling the drive leg away from the rubber instead of the drive leg pushing off the rubber. In another thread leg adduction was mentioned and this is the difference to me. Front side resistance with good drive will result in adduction. Leaping and pulling the drive leg even with decent front side resistance won't get the same easy adduction and would require either a contrived "hip snap" or some kind of rear leg forced IR/adduction.

That's why I mentioned not focusing on closing and seeing if the rear leg turn is preventing the hip turning...I'm not advocating any forcing of the rear leg just using the proper mechanics to let the leg naturally do what it is supposed to. It might not even require turning it might be as simply as not dragging and letting it be lose.

Butter - thanks for taking a look and commenting. The back leg is something that we have been talking about, Java called it zombie leg, but I like your wording. Again, we talk about getting the knee up but in my mind have been thinking pull more than drive and maybe she is too??? Thanks for your take and appreciate all the comments.
