slugger is all over it , also her elbow is locked after 12 oclock. Just look at the drill and see how lose and smooth she is versus how stiff she looks in the video
also this is probably why Bill asked if she was sore the follow through is very forced and unnatural
Ball/hand orientation looks good to me. Needs more whip--loosen up the lower arm. Let it hang from the elbow. Give up the control you feel from aiming and let it fly. (Whip feels out of control at first, but when you learn to whip/snap, you'll find the speed jumps with less effort and it doesn't take long to find control.)
Thanks to everyone for all of the feedback. We saw a new pitching coach today and he wants DD to loosen the arm and make contact with the hip and rotate the hand inward. He also wants the drag foot to stay behind and meet the plant foot.
I'm good with most of the new PC's suggestions but would like to hear the reason for a mandatory foot-to-foot drag. (I teach something similar, but don't sweat the feet if all else is well.) Along with whip, I'd throw in adduction of the thighs and glove.
This video looks better. Good progress. Try to keep the hips and shoulders still and firm from 9:00 into release. She is spinning through the release a bit still. But overall, shes making progress. Keep up the good work....
