Thanks for your advice. The coaches that I've talked too seemed to on the same page as what most of you guys were saying.

While the complaint is normally that their DD doesn't pitch enough, more parents should worry that the kid pitches too much. If you are questioning
if she does pitch too much she probably is. It's much easier coaching in baseball as they have pitch count rules which prevents coaches from doing
something stupid. In softball it's so easy to just fire your number 1 back out there again for the championship. It's much harder to say, "She is done".

My DD has been trying out for several teams. She has had a lot of interest from teams but I'm trying to make the right decsion for her. Based on the 3 tryouts we've attended she was the better pitcher at all 3. Whatever we choose she will get a lot of mound time. Which is what we are looking for but I don't want ruin her arm. How much is too much?
Not trying to be Debbie downer but I would confirm those are ALL the pitchers the team has? :)

DD did a tryout last year with a 10u team. She threw with their three pitchers and was considerably faster and more consistent. She ended up getting an offer but she went a different direction. Come to find out the team also had three OTHER pitchers that were not at that practice/tryout. These other three were a full year older than DD, shared similar last names to coaches on the team and where very good pitchers. Not saying dd would not have broken into the top three but would have been an uphill battle. Certainly not saying this is every situation but it happens.
