1) A baseball pitch... thrown at a greater distance with considerably less mass than a softball.
2) A ball that when thrown... changes directions faster. Known to cause neck problems in pitchers... as they are constantly looking over their shoulder to see where it lands.
3) An absolute gift to the third base coach... who in turn, shouts out the pitch to their batter on the upswing.

In all seriousness... a good pitcher spends countless hours developing every pitch they use... it might be wise to recognize the efficacy of this pitch at the next level... and direct your focus to something you can endlessly develop in the coming years.

I don't think anyone in the NPF throws this one. I agree with Java in that her time is better served perfecting a rise or drop for example.... preferably a rise that cuts in or out. That in my opinion wold be a better investment of time.

Is there anything you did in particular to catch that pitch or will she just figure it out? Looks like she might be on this team. I've never seen her so excited about a pitch!

besides pray the night before? lol...

In all seriousness, trust yourself and relax. If you are relaxed you will move faster and adjust. I figure if some hitters can hit it, I can catch it with a 33" or so glove lol.
