I know some of the umpires that do Florida games and they admit that it is Tim's way or the highway.

I laughed at Kempf’s comments about how well Florida hitters execute correct pitch selection. When I was there in person, there was definitely a difference in strike zone, not pitch selection by Florida hitters. She is a go-along bozo.

She's going along, because if she didn't they'd get another mouthpiece in the booth and it would cost her money. It's all about the Benjamin's.

I guess I will watch Barnhill pitch during away games and cheer on the officials to call IP. I will always pull for the opposing team.

I found myself doing that in the WCWS last year. I am an SEC homer and no fan of Oklahoma (not for softball reasons). But I found myself hoping Florida would lose.

Watching a Florida game with Barnhill pitching is like watching Olympics gymnastics in the 1970s with a US gymnast and Russian judges.

It is not just IP's. You call the zone Tim wants or you are gone.

I know a guy who ref's D1 college basketball. They should do what basketball does. They have ref's do games all over the country instead of just doing local games. That way the coaches have little influence over the officiating. Unfortunately, softball does not have the same budget basketball does.

it should be interesting to see Florida's next few away games if IP's will get called. Auburn's pitcher striding outside of the pitching "box" hasn't been called for IP's yet. hmmm...

Again, hard to argue. I still say it's time the rules change. By the way CP, it's not even 11pm and you're posting on here, shouldn't you be giving lessons!!?????!!!

Bill

Just got home from lessons...I have 14 of them tomorrow too...wanna come Sunday? I have 15 then...so no room...

Ok...change the rules...just let everyone throw from 38' and take the re-plant garbage out of it...

I couldn't imagine Paige Lowery throwing 75 from 38 feet...she'd make Adam Folkard and "crow hop city" look slow...

If MLB took your advice and changed the pitching rules, it would be comical...200 would be a good batting average.

There are REASONS behind the RULES.

I'm free on Sunday. See you then. lol

Chris, I won't deny that my opinion is slanted. I don't know what your background is, if you've pitched in the Lackawana league or not. But if you don't want to change the pitching rules, Then something has to be done about the bats and balls. As I've said for many years, I'd gladly pitch with 1950's rules (as they currently are now) if they go back to 1950's bats and balls.
