Someone brought this little jewel to my attention. I'm not sure what this is supposed to show, except it seems to be all the rage in the Daddy pitching circles.

My own opinion is that it is another load delivered straight from the pastures of southern Iowa.

So according to this chart: my 5'1 daughter should be throwing at 43 mph...Thanks guys for such high goals(sarcasm inserted)...and if she goes much faster than this, she is a high risk for injuries.

Been there. This is the homogenized cookie-cutter BS that floats on the Internet and gives false empowerment to forecast where a kid will be in a few years. If any of my kids- no matter the size -fell into these parameters. I would have failed them.

LOL my DD's stride is 7'3" she should be mid 60s from the looks of it well they don't have it charted for 13-14 yr olds at all and best she's gotten too is 59mph.

How does stride length increase pitch speed?

I'm pretty sure a pitcher getting a good launch off the rubber and landing with good front side resistance is going to impart the ball with a bit more energy than a similar pitcher who isn't striding out as hard and far.

Granted this isn't always the case but I think that was what they were implying.
