A friend of mine has a DD who plays on the local HS JV team. She claims her bat has no "pop" in it. I have no idea what kind of bat she has or if she has a preference but, what is the most popular bat out there today for a JV player? Cost is NO object. Only requirement is it must comply with High school rules, and ASA travel ball. But I have no idea what the kids use, what is the hottest bat, etc.

I will be in Dallas tomorrow so I will stop by Softball Junk and pick it up, if he's got whatever is recommended the most for my friend. My joke to him about how I try to avoid bats and House of Pitching throwers don't care about the opponent's equipment fell rather flat, like a Tom Brady football. So, I thought I'd seek the help of you guys here.

Even if it's not what your DD uses, I need to know what the gold standard for bats is right now. Just reply on here and I'll check the replies today and tomorrow between flights.

Thanks all

Bill

Hard to go wrong with a Xeno or 2Legit. The 2016 versions of both are scheduled to be released later this month if you can wait a couple of weeks for the "latest and greatest"....

Going by the highest price, is always pretty good. Do you know what size she needs or the weight, or if she wants a balanced bat or end loaded?

A tall HS girl, might want a 34 inch bat. The weight would be called a "minus 10."

Hey Bill, Emily just got a LXT 34" -9 this winter loves it. She was swing a CF6 33" -8 last year. The LXT has a ton of pop. We won't be out to Erie till next week or the girl could try some of Emily's bats. Emily has an cf6 insane, CF7 33"-9 and the other 2. I don't think you could go wrong with the LXT. I need to get a hold of you soon.

Bill - only if you give us some pitching advice for the bat information. Hal is gone so it's ok to post again. Or at least give us a WCWS winner prediction? :D

DD likes DeMarini (just picked her up a CF8 33/23) has good pop. Louisville LXT and Easton Mako are popular. But have to be honest with you, choice of bat is personal preference and hard for a pitching coach (albeit world class) to choose for her. I also suggest going to "justbats.com" to research/review the most popular bats. Some great info there.

IMHO, hard to go wrong with Louisville Slugger Xeno, LXT or Worth 2legit ,or Demarini CF7 or CF8.

I'm right here.
Hi Bill....been a while hope you're doing well. FWIW I have been seeing an awful lot of Louisville Sluggers wherever we go....a lot of LXTs. Figure out what drop suits her and it appears the latest LS will probably make her day. We don't have any LS so I can't offer first hand experience with LS. I went with Worth and Anderson and both DDs are happy with what they have.
