We're you posting this to highlight the relationship between this mechanic and skipping?

No, I'm trying to document examples to better understand that type of mechanic and what the advantages or disadvantages are. I do see this type of drive leg movement in many of the men's FP pitchers I've watched. I believe the highly rated 2015 Florida commit, Kelly Barnhill throws this way.

One thing I noticed is the lag that the top 2 pitchers achieved. Mine can perform the motion but it is usually because her arm is half way up the front of the circle by the time she starts pushing off. :)

Gotcha- I don't think there is much good about it to be honest. I think it is often (not always) accompanied by a replant, making this move a crow hop, so the advantage is that for those pitchers they get extra power.
