Margie Wright was the real deal. She is from a little town south of Decatur, IL. and I played against her as a teenager. We went to ISU at the same time and she was pretty much a workaholic. Some of that should have rubbed off on me. I coached against her, when she was a small Christian college. (She does not know me, but she will always answer an e-mail.)

Amy, the last time I posted in this thread, (January 2015), I had yet to make the connection that Hall Of Famer Margie Wright was someone I had seen at ISU several times. Last summer I had a chance to visit with her at ISU. Not only is she a heck of a nice person, she is a walking history book of women’s softball.

I was at a game there a couple weeks ago and she was working with pitchers and catchers. I did think the pitchers looked pretty good that night.

Check out her Wiki page. Pretty impressive.

With a collegiate career ERA of .77 and 725 K's, I don't really care how Lori Harrigan finished.

vs. non-polycore bats and non- cryogenic bats. Vs. the hitting knowledge back then (squish the bug) and coaches with no clue how to pick me. Oh, and vs. 40 ft pitching distance.

You forgot to add the shrunken strikezone at the top of the zone.
